This category is for the display of "digital art", which is best described as images that have been created or drastically altered using software such as Adobe Photoshop. While digitally altered images are allowed in any other category, those images created or drastically altered in software, are to be displayed in this category. Put another way, if the digital darkroom work is the primary focus or main attraction of the image it belongs here.
All images will undergo some level of cropping, horizon-straightening, exposure and color correction, red-eye, blemish or spot removal, and by virtue of that fact do not qualify for Digital Darkroom. Composting (cutting and pasting) multiple different images into one image (including panoramas), creating an oil or watercolor painting from an original image, using advanced Photoshop plugins, hand-drawing elements of an image using a tablet, are all examples of photographs that will qualify for the Digital Darkroom. HDR images may qualify for the Digital Darkroom. Please include before and after photo’s to show the difference in the image.
